OMG!!! my childhood best friend is engaged and is getting married in Iowa!!!!!
Shinae and I met in pakistan where we attended the same boarding school…she was my friend and comfort through lonely times as well as happy moments…of course we had our share of drama but that’s expected with young girls. I am just SO ECSTATIC to go be with her on her wedding day as well as be her photographer. Truly amazing how God works! It was amazing to chat over skype (i love technology) and catch up as well as discuss logistics.
on friday i had the pleasure of capturing the love between jackie + will
the shoot was at UofT. MAN! the university is strict about photos being taken inside…you need a permit for everything @_@
friday was actually a really tiring day for me because I had so many errands to run! From meeting my hair appointment to picking up my photobooks to shopping for the perfect pair of pumps to go with my dress for saturdays wedding…and an engagement shoot to finish it off.
oh man, how time does fly by
it’s already thursday night???? GARH! How is this possible? I remember the days when i was young that felt like a week…now one week feels more like one day :S
anyways…i wanted to post some photos i took of the shin family. they are an awesome bunch and everyone has such unique personalities. i love going over there because there’s always plenty of food and i’m guaranteed a good laugh. i especially love the mrs :) she’s such an honest and down-to-earth crazy woman (especially after 10pm)
This past weekend was pretty busy!
To begin the wknd I had an engagement shoot with jenn + kevin and to wrap it up I had a casual family photoshoot. But WHY IS IT STILL SO COLD!?!?!? But everyone did a great job with toughing it through the windy and chilly weather. The more I shoot i’ve noticed that I like photos that are not perfect. I like it when there’s blurring, unfocused or a bit too much glare…or even random things that are ” in the way” of the main focus in the picture.
Those who know me well will know me as one who is interested in almost everything and wants to try almost anything (i refuse to go sky diving, i’m not too friendly with heights). So today when I was talking with my awesome friend Dase we decided to start a travel fund. We don’t know where we’re going yet but we want to take a chunk of time next year to travel somewhere…who knows where it’ll be, Mongolia? Tibet? Russia? India? China???
Last week some of the college age members of our church put on a performance. This is my favorite shot hehehe
This is a personal rant post.
no photos today…just plain-old-me blabbing about crap life throws at ya…
Every month Evrium.com has a photo competition and I entered my “boy at a wedding” photo and it got accepted!!! I use Evrium’s program for my website and they’re awesome because it’s simple and sleek…a fast way to view amazing quality photographs.
check it out! The photo I submitted is one I took at an Indian wedding…the little boy was standing so calmly with three older gentlemen standing guard around him. I took one shot before as I was rushing to go somewhere. To go directly to the site click
if you didn’t know the new trend these days are the boyfriend trousers…it’s baggy jeans but with a new marketing scheme ;P
check out this new Gap commercial, I think it’s the cutest thing and Claire Danes is just so adorable!!!
it makes me want to learn how to dance…and how CUTE is Patrick WIlson? (Patrick Wilson is also in Watchmen)
ok, any more cuteness and i’m gonna buurst with glee
happy sunday everyone!!!
