Here’s the engagement shoot i did yesterday with grace and eric in Toronto at kensington market. They’re a special couple because they got engaged on dec 17th…my birthday!!!! Although they live in Edmonton now they’ll be getting married in Toronto next year!
it was fun eating chinese buns and beef patties with you guys :)
What a busy day it was! The day started off with the usual walk with Pilot then had to prepare for the day. I had an engagement shoot today! Yes that’s right…an engagement shoot in december. I didn’t expect to be doing any more of those for 2009 but I booked a wedding for next year for a couple who lives in Edmonton. But because the next time they will be back in Toronto will be for their wedding (oh and they’re flyin out this saturday) so we had to do the engagement shoot pronto!
merry christmas and happy new year. oh wait. i’m a couple days late!
I’m back from my personal retreat and now I’m at home working on my 30″ Dell monitor. It’s sweeeeeet!!! I should have made the upgrade sooner and I would’ve if i had known how much easier life would be…
I hope everyone is enjoying their time off work and with family.
I’m away at Tyrolean Village Resorts at Blue Mountain on a personal retreat. Here I plan to evaluate my 2009 weddings and prepare myself for 2010. I’m so blessed because my calendar is really filling up and i’m running out of saturdays fast! It’s beautiful up here with the cold crisp air and quiet. It’s just great to get out of the hustle and bustle of toronto. I brought my camera and this morning took some shots of the view we have out of our window but silly me forgot to bring my card reader…so the picture below was not taken from my camera but from my mac. This is the perfect time to have this retreat too…it’s near the end of the year and I just passed my birthday! I’ve aged a little more.
Here’s a slideshow of last nights packing…
enjoy! If you don’t recognize the song it’s “i’m yours” by Jason Mraz but sung by the cutest asian boy
tonight i went to help my friends pack food supplies for their missions trip to Mali. I thought it would be cool to take some documentary photos for some extra footage for their website www.iheartmali.com check out some shots i took of them against a white wall…i started off taking photos against a beige wall not knowing that the wall i had my back against was white…lol late on i switched walls :p couple of the guys got their head shaved and it was funny as hell.
it was quite the experience being one of the vendors at this bridal registry gala at The Bay
It was jiust an awesome experience preparing for this event and I got to learn so much from it.
One of the things I did at the event was set up a photobooth to show clients what a photobooth is and how it works.
I think they had fun :)
i love travel
i grew up traveling so when i reflect over the past couple years it makes me a little sad that i haven’t really been traveling to interesting places. i’m in the process of thinking and praying over making a photography trip with my colleague and friend :)
it’s really exciting!
it’s exciting to dream and think about stuff like this because i’m passionate about it. we plan to go with a purpose and direction because going trigger happy over just anything and everything is a waste of time and resources.
