it’s been a goooood year!
thank you to all my bride and grooms for honoring me in so many ways. I’m glad to have met you all!
Now tis the season of photobooks and editing.
this is wilma + warren’s photobook. I love their taupe coloured book it’s so purty and it goes so well with my boxes! Boxes were made by palettera. (thanks deb for my boxes i love them! Love the signature pink ribbon!)
There’s something to be said for nature.
It’s so beautiful.
I went to Kingston to shoot an engagement session for steph and steve this past week and it was cold and windy. To end it off we went to the lake…i think it was a lake. The face of the water was jagged because of the strong wind. The weather was grey but it was so beautiful. Nature is often wild and dangerous but isn’t that what makes it so beautiful? Sometimes I just want to be surrounded by just that and away from the city. Always, when I come back from something like that the city feels so fake and meaningless. Why stay in the city when there’s so much beauty outside? Well…I’ll admit it’s much more comfy in the city.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I think I would be happy living in the back country with nothing but a cabin and I really think I could. It’s now a goal of mine to find that cabin.
I was given the opportunity to shoot a fellow wedding photographer’s wedding this year!
When Chris asked me to shoot his wedding I had a lot of doubts because…well there’s a lot of pressure when you know the other person knows your “tricks”.
However, all those fears and doubts were pushed aside because kitty and chris are super warm and goofy…and cheesy…hahaha
They pretty much gave me creative free reign and put their complete trust in me.
Thank you guys so much for letting me be a part of your day and see a different side to you both. Kitty, I give your dad the award for Funniest dad.
