For this gorgeous couples special event we fly to mexico. There in the warm sun we frolicked in the sand and took engagement photos before the big day. It was such a pleasure to be part of the group and witness these two tie the knot. I think all weddings should take place somewhere warm and relaxed. I don’t know what it is about destination weddings…is it the destination that makes it such a chill and relaxed wedding? or, is it the couples who are chill and relaxed that choose destination weddings? Either way, I love them because it’s sooooooo friggin relaxed!!!! None of the frenzy that comes with “local” weddings.

It’s crazy how unpredictable the world can be sometimes. Some of you will know that I shot these two on their wedding day some eons ago and that jess and i went to the same highschool. Who would’a thunk that we’d hang out at their house in Maui during our honeymoon. We had such an awesome time with them and got a better feel for how locals live there. We hiked, picnicked by the beach and went on walks with their puppy scout.

With the closing of summer here is an engagement session that reflects just that…summer…
Remember playing in the water in the summer as a child? That feeling of freedom with no care in the world? I was reminded of that during this shoot. Joyce and Jesse live fun. At least that’s the sense I get from interacting with them. They aren’t afraid to laugh and kick off their shoes or get their clothes wet. Props to keeping alive the inner child. -

THE last engagement session for 2012! phew! It’s been a busy year. It was nice to close it off with my friends anna and marcelo with a fall shoot. They are getting married in Brazil next year. Really looking forward to getting to know you guys better through this process.

Introducing a very special couple. If you follow my blog you would have noticed that I don’t write much anymore (apologies! things have been quite busy)
I couldn’t help but write a little about this shoot because it literally cracks me up because it’s sooooo THEM! You can tell from these images that they haven’t lost their child like heart and their love for fun. They are quirky and aren’t shy to burst out laughing. I can’t wait for their wedding because I know it’s going to be just good ol fun. -
