Introducing my fave cafe in Korea. (so far). It’s called Aa cafe and I’ve been visiting every year. I go there to drink their americano and listen to my music, reflect and write in my moleskin. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy doing this. It’s so great to write down my thoughts BY HAND!
I love the interior of this cafe in all it’s industrial glory. Just like the website describes, all the pieces in the space tells a story. The pieces were also collected by the owner from all over the world…including the tiles.
Once again it seems I am spending my birthday away from home. (home being toronto) Last year I celebrated my birthday in Mali (you can read about it here and here) and it was fantastic because I was doing one of my favorite things which is seeing and experiencing new things. This year I’m spending it in the motherland with my parents and my tofu. It’s been a fantastic year and I want to thank all of you for contributing to that.
We went to ganghwa island together as a family for one night. There we were able to see north korea because the island is super duper close. We also got to meet a lovely couple who moved to ganghwa and built their retirement home. They have a small plot of land where they garden a lot of their vegetables and sweet potato! Honestly never tasted better baked sweet potato in my life! It tasted like chestnuts!!! Twas super sweet *drool*
I have arrived safe and sound in korea!!! WOHOOO Even though I grew up traveling all my life I’m amazed at how we can just fly from one end of the world to the other. It’s seriously mind blasting.
Here’s the last wedding till 2012! As I mentioned in their engagement post I know sohee from back in the day when we did gumdo together. It’s really great to be able to reconnect with her in this way. Thanks for a great end to the year!
I’m off to korea next week! Time flew by because I didn’t realize how soon I was leaving. All you brides out there. Your packages are ready!! I’ll be dropping most of these off today kekeke
When I showed azumi and jeremy the photobook sample at our consultation I know they were special and I knew I wanted to shoot for them. Why? Because azumi started crying as she flipped through the pages of jess and marshalls photobook that I use as a sample. I was so touched by her response. She’s also a brave woman for having left Japan to be with the man she loves…leaving all familiar things behind for love. How romantic is that?
Hello all you ladies looking for resources for planning your beautiful wedding. Check out Sash & Satin. Sash & Satin is a pretty new website that acts as a resource for Toronto brides to help them find vendors. It’s still developing but I like where it’s headed. This week they are featuring anna and hyungjun’s wedding. Glad someone else recognizes the hard work anna put into her wedding!
here is christine and stan’s beauuutiful and classy wedding. let me tell you…they got style!!!!!! There were some challenged such as the RAIN! Such is the risk with October weddings. But it ended up working nicely especially with christine’s burburry rain boots.
