Yay, desserts!! You know, I’ve never tried a wedding cake before. The only weddings I’ve ever been to didn’t have any cakes! I don’t know if I would like to have one at my own future wedding because they look so perfect, I don’t know how I’d be able to cut into it!
I picked up this magazine after discovering it who knows where (probably saw it on instagram. I LOVE INSTAGRAM!) If you’re not familiar with the magazine it’s basically full of images that are subtly gorgeous, has recipes for some cool things like pumpkin butter and how to make the perfect cup of coffee for one. It’s such a poetic little book/magazine that celebrates the simple art of gathering and communing together.
Our relationship began several years ago when these two lovebirds booked me 2 years in advance so you’ll understand when I say that shooting their wedding felt like shooting an old friends wedding. Steph is super duper cool! Can a bride be more chill and cool on their own wedding? I mean, she got a mosquito bite on her forehead right when we started the photoshoot portion of the day and it just did not bother her. Also, a super duper cool element that they had at their wedding reception was a bubble tea stand! AWESOMENESS!!!!!
Fall is here!
I love everything about autumn. I love going apple picking, eating turkey and pumpkin pie, and getting cozy with a warm sweater. But most of all, I love the colours of the changing leaves – that, for me, is the best part of this season!
The yellows, oranges, and reds are so pretty and make a great natural colour theme for a wedding or photo shoot. I think more couples should get married in the fall!
Introducing the newest member of the team. Michelle is helping me out with some of my work load and will also appear here as a guest blogger. So great to be working with a team!!!!!!! I can’t tell you how much fun it is to joke around and laugh together. We’ve had fruli and youtube breaks to make it even more funtastic.
THE last engagement session for 2012! phew! It’s been a busy year. It was nice to close it off with my friends anna and marcelo with a fall shoot. They are getting married in Brazil next year. Really looking forward to getting to know you guys better through this process.
I love “things” so I’ve decided to create a new category for them. Hopefully I can share with you some things/objects that I find are useful and/or interesting.
