It seems as though every time I’m at Fields on West Lake the weather is the same. Cold and gloomy…with rain. However! Every time I go there it’s such an awesome wedding with such awesome couples. The outdoors, the decor, the people and LOVE…they are all ingredients to make that awesome wedding. It was personally so sweet because they had some crazy rains during their ceremony which was just like mine! I love weddings like this because it reminds me of my very own crazy backyard wedding. Something about rain that’s very utterly romantic.
Shooting at the Gladstone is always fun because so far I’ve loved every one of my couples who got married there. Tory and Jamie are super cool! It’s nice…soooo nice to get to meet new people that you just like! Seeing these two get married was such a treat. You can just see how much joy they feel when they are together and how much they appreciate the others differences. I mean, just look at the reveal photos…Tory is REALLY excited to see Jamie for the first time on the wedding day and just can’t contain herself! She gets the prize for best reaction ever :P
Selah is one of my favorite babies. Maybe because her mum is one of my favorite people in the world.
Can I tell you how fun it is to photograph babies? They are not shy and they are not insecure. They just want to play and explore and be the wild things that they are.
They also keep me on my toes because they will never ever wait for me nor will they listen to my instructions.
They are divas.
It was such an honor to finish off the year by shooting these two lovely individuals. I was super impressed by the amount of work and effort they put into the shoot and it really made me put on my A game. Their wedding next year is going to be one heck of a fun wedding to shoot knowing how much attention they put on details.
Linda! Thank you so much for your gift of cupcakes! It really topped off my year.
Location: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
To: My funny husband.
I may not always laugh out loud…but i’m laughing inside
I love you
So amazing to see these two happily married. It was also amazing to see two cultures come together and mesh. Korean + Barbadian. booyah! The wedding was super relaxed and chill…totally Barbados style. It was refreshing going to a wedding with no seating chart! People could sit where they liked with whom they liked. Super awesome!
Now that we are well into the new year I can now gather my thoughts and post my first post of 2014!
Last year was quite the year. It was by no means an easy year for me. It started off with our honeymoon (awesome!), then it was filled with a lot of destination weddings, all the while experiencing a not so-easy-pregnancy, to finally meeting our little Mercy! There were definitely many challenges to the job due to the pregnancy but all in all it has made me a stronger person. Also, finally being able to meet our Halloween baby was well worth the wait and the discomforts.
