another SWEET couple :)
this is another wedding i shot on a chilly day. It’s definitely a real challenge for the wedding photographer to keep a good flow of things during the shoot while covering all important images. For myself as the photographer it’s hard to shoot additional random creative shots when the bride is cold. I feel so bad that i wanna wrap things up quickly. There’s definitely a fine line…do i spend more time to cover more shots while the bride is clearly very cold or do i cover just the required so that the photoshoot isn’t ruined for them because they’re freezing to death. I find it’s important to mentally prep yourself when you know that it’ll be cold. Email the bride and suggest they bring a shawl i.e. white mink shawls are awesome…maybe some comfortable pumps so their toes don’t freeze off. Just yesterday i shot a wedding with no bridal party. It’s definitely not for everybody but when these rare couples come by i feel so lucky because their photoshoots go so smoothly with no fuss. This is no accident that the shoot goes well because often with a large bridal party there’s so much distraction that the shoot takes much longer. Especially when it’s a fall wedding and time spent outside means freezing your ass off it’s a definite PLUS when you work with a small bridal party i.e. bride + groom :P
thank you carmela + chris for being patient in the cold! you did great!
